Hippeastrum hybrid Lectin (HHL) is composed of four subunits of equal size. It binds exclusively to α-mannose residues linked by (α-1,3) and (α-1,6) linkages. HHL reacts not only with terminal α-D-mannose residues but also with internal α-D-mannose residues.
