Sustainable and eco-friendly approaches to chemical production to protect the environment and its ecology are what chemical production technology is all about. CD BioSciences-GreenChemistry's chemical production technology platform incorporates several suitably advanced green production technologies to enable the efficient, high-quality, and eco-sustainable creation of chemical goods.
Chemical production technology refers to the technology of converting raw materials into various chemicals through chemical reactions and processes. Green chemical production technology is beginning to take root with the increasing demand for environmental protection and sustainable development. Such technology places more emphasis on pollution reduction, resource efficiency, and the use of renewable raw materials to maximize profits while being environmentally friendly. Water, ethanol, and ionic liquids are examples of less toxic and low-volatility solvents used in the chemical industry today. Low-toxicity catalysts, for example, enzyme catalysts, are also efficient. Today, a variety of facilities are employed, including one-pot reaction synthesis pathways.
CD BioSciences-GreenChemistry is an entity that pioneers green chemistry solutions using sustainable and eco-friendly manufacturing strategies. Our technology platforms leverage advances in biocatalysis, micro reaction technologies, and green solvent systems which enable raw materials to be converted into biochemicals/chemicals efficiently even with minimal environmental harm.
First, we make full use of mechanical milling technology to process raw materials to reduce solvent requirements and improve extraction efficiency. At the same time, we use green methods such as supercritical fluid extraction or water distillation as much as possible to extract the target compounds efficiently. For cases where organic solvents must be used, we choose non-toxic, recyclable, or biodegradable solvents, such as ethanol and glycerol, and strictly control their dosage.
Depending on the structure of the target chemical and the type of reaction required, we use specific enzymes or microorganisms as catalysts. By precisely controlling the reaction conditions (e.g. temperature, pH, and dissolved oxygen), we optimize the reaction efficiency and reduce the production of by-products. Since biocatalytic technologies usually employ mild reaction conditions, energy consumption is low, which is a good way to reduce the burden on the environment.
Based on the client's needs, we select or design suitable solid-phase catalysts for the production of target chemicals. We provide solid phase catalysts with high specific surface area, and good thermal and chemical stability, such as metal oxides, zeolites, activated carbon, and polymers. Furthermore, we utilize solid-liquid or solid-gas reaction systems to avoid the difficult separation of the catalyst from the product, simplify subsequent processing steps, and reduce the environmental burden.
We offer diverse light sources to catalyze chemical production reactions, such as LED lamps, UV lamps, or lasers. To maximize the efficiency of the photochemical reaction, we perform fine optimization of the reaction conditions, including light source intensity, wavelength, reactant concentration, solvent selection, temperature, and pressure. Through experiments and model predictions, we identify the optimal reaction conditions to ensure high conversion, high selectivity, and low energy consumption.
To meet the needs of different chemical production reactions, we offer a wide range of electrolyzers, such as diaphragm electrolyzers, diaphragm-less electrolyzers, and solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) electrolyzers. Depending on the characteristics of the target chemical, we also use tailor-made electrolytes such as aqueous solutions, molten salts, or ionic liquids. We will maximize the use of electrical energy to reduce dependence on fossil energy.
