Chromatography-based Chemical Separation and Purification Service

Chromatography is a highly efficient separation and purification technique that separates chemical compounds in a chromatographic column through the action of stationary and mobile phases, featuring high separation efficiency and a wide range of applications. CD BioSciences-GreenChemistry offers the use of environmentally friendly chromatographic separation and purification services. By employing such sophisticated chromatographic strategies, we seek to optimize the efficiency of solvent and waste emission and subsequently, the compound separation and purification processes for our clients, ensuring maximum environmental protection.

Chromatography: A Brief Description

One of the most effective physical and chemical methods of analysis, chromatographic methods are routinely performed because of the efficient separation of mixture components due to differences in the gradient forces acting on different solutes, chemical phases, and layers of two different mobile and stationary components. Chromatography is not only a fast analytical method but also can be used to analyze a variety of samples, such as organic substances with boiling points lower than 400°C, high boiling point substances, thermally unstable substances, and biological samples. Under the guidance of the concept of green chemistry, chromatography is increasingly focusing on environmental protection and sustainability.

Our Professional Services

CD BioSciences-GreenChemistry is committed to providing comprehensive and efficient chromatographic separation and purification services to our clients. We actively practice the concept of green chemistry, using environmentally friendly substances to replace harmful solvents, to meet the separation and purification needs of clients while promoting sustainable development.

Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC)

Schematic diagram of TLC.

  • Spotting

Using a precision spotter, the sample is evenly dispensed onto the thin layer plate to ensure an accurate and uniform distribution of the sample.

  • Unfolding

Place the thin layer plate in a sealed unfolding chamber and select the appropriate unfolding agent to unfold.

  • Purification and Collection

For the components that need to be purified, we use scraping and cutting methods to separate them from the thin-layer plate and carry out the necessary post-processing, such as washing and drying, to obtain the target compounds with high purity.

Liquid Chromatography (LC)

Schematic diagram of LC.

  • Chromatographic Column Selection

According to the characteristics of the samples and the separation objectives, we carefully select suitable chromatographic columns. Meanwhile, we optimize the separation conditions by adjusting the mobile phase composition and gradient elution procedure to achieve the best separation effect.

  • Separation and Purification

Under the optimized conditions, we inject the pre-treated samples into the chromatographic system to achieve effective separation of components through the interaction between the mobile phase and the stationary phase.

Gas Chromatography (GC)

Schematic diagram of separation of GC.

  • Chromatographic Column Selection

According to the characteristics of the sample, we provide polar, non-polar, chiral, and other different properties of the chromatographic column, to achieve the best separation effect.

  • Separation and Purification

According to the complexity of the sample and the properties of the target compounds, we customize individual separation strategies. We utilize the selectivity of the column and the flexibility of the temperature program to achieve effective separation of multiple components in complex samples.
