Applications Antibiotic-loaded PCL can be used to treat respiratory infections such as tuberculosis. Research has been done on the phenotypic response of human bone marrow mesenchymal stromal cells (hBMSCs) to different ratios of chitosan/polycaprolactone (PCL) blends. PCL/biomedical ceramic materials have been researched for possible bone tissue regeneration. PCL/graded insulin/beta-5 glycerophosphate concentrations on osteochondral tissue formation through adipose-derived stromal cell differentiation. Polycaprolactones are used as extrusion aids, die lubricants, mold release agents, pigment and filler dispersion aids, and polyester chain segments in polyurethanes and block polyesters.
