3D Printing Technical Service

3D Printing Technical Service

As a cutting-edge technology that precisely realizes complex three-dimensional (3D) solid structures, 3D printing technology is capable of highly restoring design details and giving products personalized and customized characteristics and has demonstrated transformative value in aerospace precision manufacturing, biomedical implant development, and industrial design, among other fields. CD BioSciences relies on a self-developed multi-material and multi-process 3D printing platform to provide global clients with one-stop technical services from model design optimization, high-precision printing and processing to post-processing.

Overview of 3D Printing

The diagram of a 3 D print.

3D printing technology, also known as additive manufacturing, is a manufacturing method that transforms a digital model into a solid object by stacking materials layer by layer. The core principle is to slice the 3D design file into 2D layers of data, and then the printer deposits materials (e.g., plastics, metals, ceramics, etc.) layer by layer to eventually form a complete object. The technology breaks through the limitations of traditional subtractive manufacturing and realizes a seamless transition from design to production.

3D Printing Technology Features

High Design Freedom
  • Complex geometric structures (e.g., hollow, skeleton, nested structures) can be manufactured without the need for molds or complex processing techniques.
  • Supports personalized customization to meet the needs of small-lot, multi-variety production.
High Material Utilization
  • Add materials only where they are needed, reducing material waste and production costs.
  • Supports multi-material mixed printing (e.g. plastic and metal, conductive and non-conductive materials).
Short Production Cycle
  • The physical product is available within hours of design completion, accelerating product iteration.
  • No need to open molds, eliminating the time spent on mold design and processing in traditional manufacturing.

Our Services

CD BioSciences is committed to transforming 3D printing technology into a "floor-to-ceiling productivity tool", providing end-to-end support from design to finished product.

Process of 3D Printing

Demand Matching

We have a multidisciplinary team consisting of material scientists, structural engineers, and industrial designers to clarify the core requirements of clients through structured interviews. At the same time, we focus on mechanical properties, weather resistance, biocompatibility, and other indicators to personalize the design of 3D printing solutions.

Data Optimization

If the client only has conceptual sketches, we provide industrial design services to transform the idea into a printable 3D model; if the client already has an STL/STP file, we use topology optimization algorithms to reduce the support structure and improve the material utilization rate.

Process Matching

Based on the function of the part (load-bearing/elasticity/transparency), accuracy requirements, and lead time, our professional team can accurately match the process from a variety of technology routes.

Decision Dimension Printing Conditions/Requirements Printing Methods/Materials
Functional Requirements Load-bearing Structure Metal Printing
Flexible Parts Flexible Printing
Transparent Parts Light-curing Resin
Accuracy Requirements Medical Implants Titanium
Architectural Models Sand Molding
Lead Time Emergency Prototypes (24 h) Rapid Prototyping
Small Series Production (7 days) Nylon Sintering
Cost Sensitivity High Value Added Parts Metal 3D Printing
Low-Value Consumables Mass Production

Production Monitoring

We track the status and progress of equipment in real time and document the 3D printing process layer by layer to ensure that client needs are met.

Post-processing Customization

We also support a variety of surface treatment processes such as sanding and polishing, sandblasting and coloring, plating, heat treatment, etc., to meet different scenarios (e.g., food-grade coating, high-gloss mirror).

3D Printing Materials We Offer

From engineering materials to photosensitive resins, we provide 3D printing solutions for hundreds of materials covering a wide range of industries such as chemical, aerospace, food, and medical, making every gram of material for the application scenario.
