Bio-based Monomers
CD BioSustainable is committed to replacing traditional fossil-based raw materials with renewable biomass resources to provide green, low-carbon bio-based monomers. These monomers serve as key building blocks and are widely used in biodegradable plastics, eco-friendly adhesives, green coatings, high-performance polyesters, and surfactants. At the same time, leveraging our core bio-fermentation and green catalysis technologies, we provide customers with end-to-end solutions—from monomer customization and formulation development to application optimization—to help downstream enterprises reduce the carbon footprint.
Bio-based monomers are the basic building blocks of bio-based polymers and are compounds with repeating structures. They form macromolecular chains through covalent bonds. Bio-based polymer monomers can be natural organic or inorganic substances. Common organic polymer monomers include ethylene, styrene, propylene, and ethylene glycol, while inorganic polymer monomers include silicates and sodium chloride.
