Description Labeled ghost pen cyclic peptide utilizes fluorescent dye-labeled ghost pen cyclic peptide to study the distribution of F-actin and thus analyze cellular activity. In a variety of plant and animal cells, the labeled ghost cyclic peptide has a similar affinity for large and small filaments, binding an average of one ghost cyclic peptide molecule per actin subunit. Unlike the antibody, the binding affinity of the ghost pen cyclic peptide for actin did not vary significantly between species. Nonspecific staining was negligible, and the contrast between stained and unstained regions was very large.
