| Application | The product is suitable for determining the activity of mannitol fermentation. |
| Principle | Motile bacteria spread throughout the medium, while non-motile bacteria grow only along the inoculation line. Mannitol fermentation creates acidic conditions, changing the medium from red to yellow (phenol red as the pH indicator). |

| Directions | Suspend 26.04 g in 1000 ml of purified/distilled water. Heat to boiling to completely dissolve the medium. Dispense in tubes and sterilize by autoclaving at 15 pounds pressure (121°C) for 15 minutes. Allow the tube to cool in the vertical position. |
