Description Strong acidic cationic resin is a cation exchange resin with sulfonic acid groups on a 12% cross-linked styrene to divinylbenzene copolymer. It is adapted for use in aqueous or non-aqueous media, and is particularly suitable for the removal of cationic impurities in the production of a wide range of antibiotics, such as gentamicin, streptomycin and hygromycin. It has uniform particle size distribution, high volume exchange capacity and resistance to abrasion, osmotic pressure and oxidation.
