Proteose peptone 10.0 g peptone B # 1.0 g Sodium chloride 5.0 g Phenol red 0.018g |
| Directions | Dissolve 16.02 g in 1000 ml of purified/distilled water and mix well. Heat if necessary to dissolve the medium completely. Mix well and dispense in fermentation tubes (tubes containing inverted Durham tubing). Autoclave at 15 pounds pressure (121°C) for 15 minutes. Add filter-sterilized or autoclaved carbohydrate solution to sterile basal medium. |
